Will Wright who recently parted ways with EA to work on ‘Stupid Fun Club’ has confirmed to GameDaily that he will still be involved with any future Spore projects mostly providing feedback.

Will Wright on his future with the Spore franchise:

I don’t think it was widely reported, but alongside this whole [Stupid Fun Club] thing, I also entered into a consulting agreement with EA. I’m spending a certain amount of time every month actually working with the Spore team on future versions of Spore and expansions. So I will [still] be involved with EA on developing the Spore franchise as well.

The next instalment of the Spore franchise, Spore: Galactic Adventures will be coming out on 26th June. There are also three other Spore titles coming soon which are Spore Creature Keeper for PC, Spore Hero for Wii owners, and Spore Hero Arena for DS.

It seems Will Wright the creator of hit games like The Sims and Spore has parted ways with EA to put all his energy into “Stupid Fun Club” which is an entertainment portal for video games, movies, television, the internet, and toys.

Will Wright spent about 12 years with EA and is well-respected among developers and his games are played by millions of people world wide.

Maxis has released a new patch which will give you 24 new limbs along with some other fixes you can read about here. Download it here http://files.ea.com/downloads/eacore/eadm-installer.exe.

Here’s the latest patch for Spore, this patch is only for Windows users a Mac version should be available soon. This patch mainly fixes bugs but here are the features:

• Hold down the Control key in Sporepedia to select multiple creations for deleting or banning.
• Hold down the Shift key in Sporepedia to select a range of creations for deleting or banning.
• New planet style: Cubes.

Not only does the Spore 1.0 patch fix some bug and stability issues it also offers some pretty cool cheats. If you installed the EA Download Manger you can open that up and download this patch but if you don’t have EA manager installed you can download it here http://files.ea.com/downloads/eacore/eadm-installer.exe.

Spore 1.0 Patch Cheats:

evoadvantage – this cheat will allow you to start a new game with one of your more evolved creatures or ones from Sporepedia.

blocksmode – Turn your creatures into blocky creatures.

During Spore game play hit CTRL + SHIFT + C and a console will appear. Enter any of the following Spore cheat codes.

moreMoney – Mo money, mo money, mo money! Good for when your in Space or Civilization stages.

refillMotives – Replenish your health along with other motives.

unlockSuperWeapons – Super Weapons are unlocked with this cheat code.

addDNA – Get 150 DNA points.

freeCam – Toggle a Free Cam around.

capturePlanetGIF – Captures and saves a spinning image of your planet which is then saved in your “AnimatedAvatars” directory.

antiAliasGIF – Captures and saves spinning GIF of the planet you are on and deumps to AnimatedAvatars directory

SetTime – Setting the time for your Avatar’s position, and can also be a speed multiplier.

Killallhints – Gets rid of all hints.

freedom[on / off] – Toggles, disables (on) or re-enables (off) editor complexity limits. Creations that break the limits will not be pollinated!

help – List of commands (cheats).

help -full – More detailed description of commands.

option – Option list.

prop – Display/Modify properties.

clear – Clear console.

levels – Level Cheats.

levels -unlock – Unlock all phases. Jump to any phase with this cheat. Some achievements may not be gained if you choose to use this code.

history – Gives you a list of your last commands.

spaceCreate – Unlocks and recharges creation tools while playing in space.

pauseUIVisible – Sets or toggles whether the pause frame is drawn.

toggleCaptureUI – Toggles UI for image capture.

movie – Video cheat.

styleFilter – Unique Spore look.

styleFilter -filmNoir

styleFilter -oilpaint – oil paint look.

styleFilter -none – remove style filter.

universeSimulatorPirateRaidFrequency [number] – adjust the number of times pirates can raid your system.

universeSimulatorPirateRaidPlunderFrequency [number] – adjust the number of times pirates can steal spice from your system.

universeSimulatorPirateRaidAllyFrequency [number] – adjust the number of times pirates can raid allies in your system.

quit – Quit game.

Will Wright’s Spinning Head – Click the Galaxy, zoom out and start spinning the galaxy, do it for a few seconds and Will Wright’s head will begin to appear spinning around.

To get more DNA points for Creature Creator do this:

• When you’re in Edit and Create mode press the CTRL + SHIFT + C
• A console should open up, now enter addDNA and hit ENTER
• This should add 150 DNA points

You can also enter help in the console for some display codes.
