addDNA – Get 150 DNA points.

capturePlanetGIF – Captures and saves a spinning image of your planet which is then saved in your “AnimatedAvatars” directory.

Killallhints – Gets rid of all hints.

maybe you should get a better computer.
Make sure you aren’t in the menu screens. It HAS to be during gameplay (gameplay in pause should work, i believe…).

If you have Media Center (Win.XP), then try unplugging the infared reciever, then starting up Spore again. I had the same problem for Oblivion, and this solved it.
If you don’t have Media Center, I don’t know =D
Okay, first of all, you press Control + Shift + C all at the SAME TIME.
Second, the stars in my galaxy aren’t aranged like that. the stars aren’t in the same place and the names definitely arent the same. They are organized in the same GENERAL pattern, but it’s not like that for me.

Well, many of you are having problems. I use a different computer for Spore, however on this computer when I try to bring up the cheat box on the sims it wont work.

I checked and there’s no doubt. So I looked for the wormholes that were arranged like in there, but couldn’t find anything.

Ok i have an HP tx2500 and i have both Sims 2 and Spore on here i built it myself both runs great on there
for spore to get the cheat box to open up i had to use both ctrl buttons and both shift buttons plus C
for the sims 2 you have to press ctrl+shift+(the windows button)+C
all cheats for both games works for me good luck

FOR ALL WHO HAVE PROBLEMS with CTRL + SHIFT + C WHEN USING HP COMPUTERS!!!
Here are the steps to do it on Vista (sorry for you XP users, but steps might be similar).
1. Press Start
2. Enter “HP Health” in Search box.
3. You should either see HP HEALTH CHECK or HP HEALTH CENTER
4. Click on the one you see (if you see both, click HP HEALTH CHECK)
5. Right click it, then select properties.
6. Go to the “Shortcut” tab.
7.Change shortcut key to anything but CTRL + Shift + C by clicking in box, and pressing the new Shortcut.
8. Click OK
9. Now try Ctrl + Shift + C
10.Voila! ( If it didn’t work)
For non HP users:
Go to Desktop. Hit Ctrl + Shift + C. See the program that comes up. Then follow above steps using the name of the program that came up, instead of HP health check.
BTW for the steps above i made a mistake
COMBINE steps 4 and 5, so instead of clicking the one you see, RIGHT click it and select properties. DONT click it, thx

On Macs, it’s Command instead of Control, then Shift instead of Alt, which Macs don’t have. I have a Mac Intel Core Duo as well and it works fine for me.

I play spore less and less cuz my laptop freezes up. What’s the best hardware to be playing on. My laptop meet the reqs. but it sucks to play spore with how long it takes to get anything done and having to save every 5 minutes, as not to lose progress.
If you are having problems with graphics and or graphic card just do the following things… (only for windows)
1. go to task manager(right click on taskbar)
2. go to proccesses
3. end all applications with a user name in front of it, DO NOT END ANY SYSTEM PROCESSES OR taskmgr.exe OR explorer.exe
4. run spore
5. go to settings and change the resolution to the lowest, change all graphics settings to lowest setting, (you can also not play with fullscreen but its ok if you do.)
6. quit spore and restart
7. this worked for me i hope it works for you too.

The addDNA cheat only works in the creature editor. Oh by the way, the freedom on cheat only works in non game editors (SPORE creature creator and the create mode of the real game) and not in the vehicle editor

to get the console you need to press Ctrl & Shift on both sides of the keyboard, then take your fingers off one side of the keyboard then press c

For the AddDNA cheat, you must be inside the creature editor for it to work. So click mating call, go into the editor, and then ctrl shift c and type in the code.

Wow… What a shame… i see so many people with honestly decent questions and i see even more morons who insist on calling people “Noobs” , “Nubes” and plenty else.. Since when was a good question a sign of being a noob?? To the best of my knowledge even the experts started out by asking questions.
Open the console by pressing and holding down CTRL +SHIFT+C they must be held down so they are all “activated” at one time. For MAC and HP users, IDRK… never cared for MAC(i blew one up cause it made me mad) and never had an HP. read the other posts for console keys on those platforms.
For those who do not know, the traits adding cheats Set your player/creautre to that trait. I.E. in tribal you can either be aggressive(you kill em all) social( friends with all) or mixed( bit of both). This allows you to decide what powers you have no matter what you do during gameplay. As for the uniuversesimulator cheats, they dont eliminate raids. they reduce them by a lot. a vcalue of zero to the game says ok, so i can do raids, just not very often. Levels by itself does nothing. you need Levels[space][dash]unlock. this allows you to chose which level you wish to start from if you are just starting the game and/or havent gotten through all the stages yet. Freedom[on/off] CANNOT be used during gameplay. Only in the creators off the main menu. addDNA (be sure there are 3 d’s there..) does nothing outside the creature editors. in the editores it adds a certain amount of DNA to spend on creature parts. There are no cheats for total invincibility unless you get a trainer. there are also no cheats for unlimeted part size without a trainer or editor hack. (google em if you want em.)
Just a tip or two-> YOU CAN RENAME STARS AND PLANETS!!
Rename[space]STAR[space]“name here”
Rename[space]PLANET[space]“name here”
This is useful as you can rename the wormholes too. Do this to keep track of which wormholes take you to your homesystem or to the Core.
ALLYING WITH THE GROX gives you -200 on Every species “acceptance points??” You wanna ally the grox? good.. Good Luck. when you meet them, turn off ALL auto weapons. DO NOT FIRE ON THEM except with happy ray or fireworks. (NO CROP CIRCLES!!) And be sure your allies are 200+ as to their “acceptance points??”
The grox is the most far spread species in the galaxy wioth over 100,000 systems.(ya.. its more but me and my friends got sick of counting purple dots..)
Terraforming their planets to T1 will kill them.
The Grox like it when you use the Planet Buster. No other race does.

CTRL-shift-C, thats it, you simply must be in actual gameplay, i recomend pausing so your ont eaten or shot, Also beware! You cant unlock new stages if u have used cheats(any-at-all) and you receive an award for it in space stage. For example if you heal urself in creture stage, no mater how far you get its not an option to start in from the main menue, so try it normal first…then cheat

Y helo thar, fellow spore cheaters! I have made a complilation of fixes and uses of the cheats her, for your own enjoyment. First off:
– THE CTRL+SHIFT+C IS NOT WORKING?
Many people seem to have this problem, and everyone is telling them the same. Press them at the right time. Now that is not all. I’m sure that people realize them selves they have to hold everything at once, however, you will need the LEFT CTRL and LEFT SHIFT for it to work. so choose the ctrl+shift+c closest to eachother.
– WHAT DOES EVOADVANTAGE DO?
I actually stumbled upon this yesterday: enter the evoadvantage cheat while in the “new game” submenu, before you choose a stage to begin in. Then, select creature stage. Now you’ve enetered this cheat, you can choose any creature you made, including very advanced ones that would be ready for tribal stage. This way, you can start with an overpowered creature, that pwns everything else with ease! (except for rogues, that is)
– HELP! MY ADDDNA/SETCONSEQUENCETRAIT/WHATEVER CHEAT ISN’T WORKING!
Are you sure you are in the right place and type the cheat right? for example, addDNA can only be used in creature creator, and doesn’t have a space in between. setConsequenceTrait has to be entered in the normal playing world, and after the initial setConsequenceTrait, you have to add a SPACE and then you enter one of the codes. levels -unlock should probably be entered in the main menu / new game sub menu, but I’m not sure since I played through spore without cheating and that way unlocked the levels without cheat.
– HOW WILL I KNOW A CHEAT HAS BEEN ACTIVATED?
simple. if no error message shows up directly afterwards, it has worked. for example try typing evooadvantage, enter it, and an error pops up that that cheat doesn’t exist, or if you write setConsequenceTrait lulz_applepie it will say its parameter or variable or something is non-existant. when you get this message, refer to the above question.
I hope this has been rather informative.
P.S. YES you can really open the menu in the main menu, as long as you are in a select your new game menu / creature creator / anything but the main screen.

My computer is a new 2008 good compaque tosheba computer and i do CTRL-shift-C and it worked and now 1 day later I played it and it did not work can someone help me?!

Make sure you aren’t in the menu screens. It HAS to be during gameplay (gameplay in pause should work, i believe…).

Ok all who have HP when playing spore if you press ctrl shift c when you press it is brings up hp health check but if you go to health check and press properties change it to ctrl shift p and when playing you have the cheat box up.

Hey everyone I have a solution that may work for some of you! I have a Windows Vista HP Compaq computer with a dual core processor and the reason that ctrl shift c wouldnt work is because thats the shortcut to open up hp health check.
heres the solution
go to your start menu
where it says start search type in hp health check
right click when it comes up
click on properties in the drop down menu
where it says shortcut: change the last letter

I have windows vista and the CTRL-SHIFT-C thing doesn’t work when I downloaded it by DVD on my pc but when I downloaded it on spore.com on the laptop I’m using the cheats don’t work and when I uninstall it and download it from my DVD the cheats still don’t work.

I found a cheat for Spore Galactic Adventures:When you only need 1 of an object but you accidentally pull in two (this is 4 Adventure Creator), press the delete button on the keyboard so you only delete one of the items.

I got to the core of the galaxy, after that, we’re not affected by the effect anymore….and we get a video of a worm-hole with lamas in it….a voice talking and a bot giving us a instant terraforming thing (47 “ammos” of it)…and rigth now, am doing a Grox genocide…

How do you get the super Weapons Cheat to Work?

If you are having trouble with this in spore and/or sims 2 this will help. You have to press CTRL-vista button (the flage that has the microsoft logo beside the alt button)-shift-C

The cheat ‘universeSimulatorPirateRaidFrequency ‘ isn’t recognized by the cheat input thing. And yes, I put in a number. I put it in with a space, I put it in without a space. I even tried it using an underscore. I tried it with brackets, I tried it with chevrons ().
I tried it in the menu screen, I tried it in the galaxy screen for my game, I tried it in the system screen, I tried it in the planet screen.
Each time I put it in, it kept saying it was an unknown command. What the hell am I doing wrong? The other cheats I use–AddDNA, moremoney, etc.–work just fine.
It’s like I’m playing Sam I Am with this fucking game.

with the freedom cheat what does it mean by not being pollianted btw stop calling it a black hole, its a wormhole. the only black hole in the game is in the center of the galaxy

This was really helpful. To be honest spore kept locking up for me in the space stage so I never got to experience it that well. For the 4th time my Spore had another problem, making me frantic as I searched for the game key. I almost laughed as I almost started screaming “I WON’T BE ABLE TO COMPLETE SPORE!” since I couldn’t find it. Anyways, this was really useful. I think I might use the Planet Buster or Anti-Matter weapon on earth, however, since you get an achievement for it (plus, who wouldn’t want to blow up the Earth!?) but it is interesting that our solar system was called Sol or however it’s spelled. I didn’t know that. Thank you.

Hi, If you are stuck on the Ctrl+shift+C you must be in gameplay and hold them all at the same time. I play SPORE and I use it everyday and it works fine. And sometimes if it does not work turn SPORE off and log in/go back on it, and try again. If this does not work I truely am sorry for wasting your time.
-ADDDNA problems-
Hi when you use ADDDNA/adddna, you can only do that in creature creator ( creature stage ) and it ONLY RAISES THE DNA points you have, it doesn’t really cheat you all the way through creature stage.
I just love SPORE! i NEVER EVER went a day without playing it… So i hope everyone enjoys SPORE! My favroite one is Space because Space has so many planets that are amazing! I dispite the fighting all the time though.. And if you want SPORE mtry ebay

Works fine with me, I’ve got Vista. Its very simple and the game is quite easy, but its horrible when you have an epic creature around every corner (I had four) And I was on easy then!! Oh well, I used the addDNA cheat and I actually managed to kill one so my creature could actually explore lol xD x

well for the control+shift+c issue, if you have tried either shift key, and either ctrl key, and you still get nothing, you may want to try both ctrl keys+both shift keys+c. i tried and tried, and this is what finally opened my console. it may be set with a random code per installation to minimize those who cheat

The setConsequenceTrait is not working… it says “Unknown command”, plus the levels-unlock is not working. It says the same thing. Can anyone explain how to get them to work? By the way im on a Mac if that helps.

what happened to me is i accidentally moved the cheat box out of the screen. You can type stuff in, you just cant see it.
Spore is so fun and also is some times hard.My favorite part of spore is animal level.

The orion arm is where earth is and in that system(if windows Sol if mac BAD_DATA)there are two green orbit planets mars and earth. Go to earth first and place three colonies to get the wonderland wonderer the first event being the system the second earth.

Okay, people. To addDNA, you need to use the cheat when your editing your cell or creature.
To addDNA, you must be using that cheat while in the creature creator
These cheats may be fun, but they just sucked all the fun out of my favorite game. (ps no I was NOT looking for spore cheats when I came across this)

Hello….for those who are having problems with your game by not being able to activate the cheat console, this is the solution. It usually happens with Vista or higher OS! CTRL+SHIFT+C is in use by another program in your OS by HP Health Check program. So when you try to activate the cheat console, nothing happens in the game. Simply type in your start menu search bar, Health check, the program icon should be displayed. Right-Click the icon and click properties. When the Properties window for that program pops up simply look for ShortCut Key and you will see CTRL+SHIFT+C set up for that program for activation. Just erase it and type none and apply. Go back to your game and try it that time and it will work. I had the same problem and that was the solution.
